Isabel was born in Melbourne Australia. The father of her was from Australia and her mother is Swiss. Her family lived in Switzerland, Melbourne Jabiru (a tiny mining community located in the Northern Territory), Cairns Australia and in Jabiru, Switzerland. She went to school with Nina and children from different cultures, including First Nations. Isabel lives in the Byron Bay area of NSW Australia. Isabel was a performer in her school. In the following years, she pursued a degree in the art of drama at the Queensland University of Technology at Victorian College of Arts. She never auditioned for parts until being asked by her agent in 2002. The role she played was in Home and Away for 1988. They didn't think that she would be suitable for the part, but they were awed by her performance and gave Tasha the role. Isabel played her debut TV role for three years.
